Madisen Moody, LPC-R, Psychotherapist

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”
– Fredrich Nietzsche

Madisen was born and raised in Virginia but transplanted to the NOVA area in 2020 for graduate school. She attended Marymount University for graduate school where she graduated a year early with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After graduation she worked for a Non-Profit organization that specializes in treatment refractory Severe Mental Illnesses and Forensically-connected populations before joining Healthy Foundations Group. Madisen‘s specialties include Severe Mental Illness and Trauma related disorders.

What is Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and Forensic populations, you may ask? SMI includes Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders, Personality Disorders, and Bipolar Disorders, etc. Madisen also enjoys working with the forensically connected populations, specifically, those adjudicated Not Guilty by Reasonable Insanity (NGRI) and Unrestorably Incompetent to Stand Trial (URIST).

When not conducting therapy sessions you can find her watching Halloween movies, playing video games, reading, and spending time with her cats.
