Dr. Jamie Spitzer earned a BA in English Literature at Washington University in St Louis, completed a post baccalaureate program at Goucher, and attended University of Maryland School of Medicine for her medical degree. She completed her psychiatric training at University of Maryland and Sheppard Pratt. She subsequently worked at Health Care for the Homeless and continues to see patients at Mercy Medical Center.
Dr. Spitzer is committed to collaborating with patients and empowering them in a process of change aimed at working toward wellness. In her approach to treatment she hopes to honor each person’s capacities, knowledge, skills, resources, and potential for growth.
In her free time, Dr. Spitzer loves to be with her family, bake, read, and do crossword puzzles.
