Trinity Howell received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from American University and has been practicing since 2013. She believes that psychotherapy is a collaborative journey of discovery, healing, and connection. Her orientation is fundamentally client-centered, and she conceptualizes clients from a psychodynamic perspective to encourage self-awareness and the understanding of how past experiences influence present behavior.
Ms. Howell works with adolescents and adults, both individually and in groups. She utilizes the object relations framework along with a combination of psychodynamic, positive psychology, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. Ms. Howell has experience addressing issues related to identity and self-concept, depression, anxiety, trauma, and the day-to-day fears and stressors that hinder psychological well-being.
