Emma specializes in working with adults and adolescents with concerns related to anxiety, mood, relationships, self-esteem, trauma, and LGBTQ identity. Emma’s approach is supportive, genuine, and collaborative. She believes in being adaptive and flexible in response to clients’ unique goals and needs. Working from a trauma-informed lens, Emma emphasizes building trusting alliances with clients and supporting clients’ empowerment in their own treatment and lives. She views the therapeutic relationship as a central component of the healing process.
Emma has experience working with clients from a diverse array of identities and backgrounds. She aims to create a warm environment that allows clients to feel safe expressing and processing their experiences, thoughts, and emotions. She uses an integrative approach that draws from psychodynamic, relational, attachment-based, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral approaches.
Emma received her master’s degree in clinical social work from the Smith School for Social Work. Prior to joining Healthy Foundations Group, Emma worked with clients impacted by grief and complex trauma.
