Vera Armstead is currently in her final year of her Clinical Social Work Master’s program at University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). She has experience working with both children and adults in the private practice sector and is excited to continue her service in the helping profession as a psychotherapy intern at Healthy Foundations Group.

Vera prides herself in her collaborative, client-centered approach of care. She actively promotes reducing the stigma of receiving mental health treatment and enjoys working with social identities such as LGBTQ+ individuals. As a Substance Use Disorder Interventions Fellow at UMB, she has a specialty of addictions counseling. In addition, Vera is open to working with individuals with concerns of depression, anxiety, and trauma.
