Amina is a NOVA native who spent a decade abroad in Scotland and the UAE. She gained her Masters of Social Work at the University of Edinburgh. After returning to the US, she worked at a residential program for homeless women in Anacostia before joining the Healthy Foundations Group.
Amina recognizes that sometimes the way we deal with life’s stressors can become more harmful than helpful. She works with clients to help them process their feelings and experiences while finding healthier ways of navigating life. She adapts her therapeutic approach to fit the client’s needs and understands that your environment can affect your daily wellbeing.
Amina believes finding the right therapist and having a safe space are key to getting the most out of therapy. She enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds and has particular experience with women’s issues, immigration, health issues, and life transitions.
