Kathryn Epps, PMHNP-BC

Kathryn Epps is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She strives to create a safe environment and offers emphatic support for individuals on their mental health journey. Kathryn enjoys building intentional relationships and working collaboratively with clients to devise a treatment modality that is tailored to meet their specific needs. She has expertise in various mental health disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD.

 

Kathryn offers medication management and psychotherapy that is evidenced-based and takes a patient-centered approach that considers the whole person (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being). She has experience working with children and adults, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Kathryn welcomes clients from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds and is LGBTQIA+ friendly.

 

Kathryn completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She then received a second Bachelor of Science from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. During her educational training, she had the privilege of completing internships at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Children’s National Medical Center, and DC Department of Behavioral Health.
