John F. Martin II – LCSW-C

“My goal is to provide a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental space for clients that allows them to become more aware of the causes of their problems, maladaptive behaviors, or patterns that get in the way of creating meaningful and lasting change. With this awareness, we can work together to build a life that you want to live.”

John enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and families, with a particular emphasis on the Black population. John works with clients facing a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, trauma, suicidal ideation, self-harm, life transitions, and relationship issues. John’s therapeutic approach is psychodynamically informed. John values his clients as partners in their work together and aims to be a supportive collaborator in each client’s unique journey.

John received his master’s degree in clinical social work from The Catholic University of America. In John’s free time, he enjoys trying new foods, traveling, bird watching, and rewatching sci-fi/fantasy movies such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, and anything Marvel.”
