Emily Fagre, LCSW

Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families managing a wide range of challenges and needs. She specializes in services for clients with concerns related to trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, and other behavioral challenges.

Emily believes a strong therapeutic partnership based in trust and respect is essential to healing.  She uses a person-centered, eclectic approach to therapy drawing from training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has also received formal training in Trauma-Focused CBT.

She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a concentration in practice with children, youth, and families.  She began her career as a foster care case manager and supervisor in Chicago, working with clients with complex medical and behavioral health needs.  She then pivoted to hospital-based work at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan providing psychosocial support and case management to pediatric patients and their families. Most recently, she has worked at Inova as a Social Worker on the Adolescent Psychiatry Unit and a Behavioral Health Therapist on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Consult Liaison Team.

Outside of sessions, Emily enjoys cooking and baking, biking, running, and spending time with her family.
